Before Waxing Tips

  • Your hair should be 1/4 of an inch long. That’s about 2-3 weeks of growth after shaving and 4-6 weeks after waxing.

  • Women's skin is most sensitive near the time of your period, and waxing can be more painful than normal. I recommend scheduling a couple of days or more before or after your period. If wanted, you can still wax if you are on your period.

  • Lightly exfoliate the skin a day before your appointment to help get rid of dead cells to make it easier for the hair to come out.

  • You can take an Ibuprofen or Advil 30-45 minutes before your appointment to help reduce pain.

After Waxing Tips

  • In the first 24-48 hours some sensitivity, redness, or irritation in the areas that were waxed may occur. These continue to ease up the longer you continue to wax.

  • Do not use any products containing acid.

  • Avoid heated sources such as hot tubs, saunas, or very hot baths.

  • For your own protection always wear sunscreen, do not expose treated areas to any ultra-violet rays.

  • Avoid heavy exercise and sexual activity for at least 24 hours.

  • To minimize ingrown hairs don’t wear tight clothes for the next couple of days and exfoliate the area 48 hours after waxing.
